Wikidot Open Source

I ended up updating my live Wikidot 1 install by accident tonight. I thought I was logged into my test server but wasn't - I was still connected to my live server (using webmin for remote access). I did the SVN update and ran the config and generated files before I realized what a rookie mistake I had just made. My heart sunk at the moment I realized what I had done, but I was quickly rejoicing after I realized that everything is still working perfectly! I wasn't too worried if it did fail since I had just backed up my live server, but it was still a sinking feeling when I realized my error.

This is quite a testament to the development team in that this was a leap from a revision number somewhere in the high 30's (I went live last Ferbuary) to the current revision number of 195! The only thing I can find that did not update is the few new themes since I had created some custom themes of my own and the database update rejected the new themes because the records already existed (which is exactly what it should have done - not overwrite any existing records).

I'm still going to perform an OS and Postgresql upgrade and will keep everyone posted.
