Wikidot Open Source

I haven't tried the open source release yet, but I somehow doubt that it would allow easy importing of the pages backed up by the admin option in our wikis. As far as I saw, backups were just a zip with the pages and the images… for instance, with no permissions info, or no templates -which I don't know whether they're open licensed or not! Not so very useful, as they cannot be restored anywhere -at least not without some more-or-less-serious scripting in the local side!.

That (getting a "local" copy of the wikidot.com wiki, even by way of importing that backup) would be great, even if wikidot does not seem to have too much downtime nowadays ;).
